Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship
Description |
---|
The USC Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship is recruiting students for an esteemed program. If you are interested in pursuing a PhD in your current (or a Mellon approved) field of study this is the program for you! Students selected for the program will receive mentorship and financial support for a successful academic career. The Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF) Program's mission is to increase the commitment to diversity in the faculty ranks of colleges and universities. The USC MMUF program is a partnership between the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts & Sciences and the Office of the Provost. The program aims to to identify, support, and mentor highly qualified underrepresented undergraduate students and other students interested in diversifying faculties in higher education, and encourage them to pursue a Ph.D. in fields where diversity has not been historically present and to increase the number of faculty from underrepresented groups at colleges and universities throughout the country and abroad in order to bring a wider range of experiences and perspectives to teaching and scholarship.
