Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellowship in Women's Studies

Description

The WW Women's Studies Fellowships support the final year of dissertation writing for PhD candidates in the humanities and social sciences whose work addresses topics of women and gender in interdisciplinary and original ways. Projects in fields such as management, the clinical and biological sciences, and law are not eligible unless they have a demonstrable academic grounding in the humanities and social sciences. The Fellowship competition typically selects ten Fellows each year. The most competitive applications include not only a clear, thorough, and compelling description of the candidate's work, but also evidence of an enduring interest in and commitment to women's issues and scholarship on women and gender. Fellows receive $5,000 to be used for expenses connected with completing their dissertations, such as research-related travel, data work/collection, and supplies.
